General view of the building (2014)
Two-storey neoclassical building, with an interesting arched colonnade on the main facade. It was designed by the architect Panagi Kalkos and built between 1872-1875. The main donors for the construction of the Nursery were the expatriate I. Kontogiannakis and Queen Amalia. Today it houses the Municipal Gallery.
