General view of building
Zappeio Palace was built between 1874-1888. The original designs were drawn up by the French architect François Boulanger as early as 1856, but were reformed by the Danish architect Theophil Hansen. It is an imposing, semi-circular neoclassical building, which is identified as building of special state protection. Today, it functions as Conference and Exhibition Center.
