In early April 2012, members of the “Excavation and Local Community: Argos Orestikon” team, Irini Gratsia and Christina Athanasiou, visited Argos Orestikon as part of the Programme’s activities. They interviewed members of the local community born between 1930 and 1950, organized a questionnaire-based public survey and photographed designated listed buildings.

Interviews and questionnaires were aimed at i) collecting histories related to antiquities in the area, old buildings, and the topography of the town; ii) recording views of the community regarding monuments in the region, with an emphasis on Paravela, the site excavated by the Argos Orestikon Project since 2009.
