A new book which examines the adaptation of the digital technology in excavation, focusing on the development of an information system for the management and research of archaeological data. This approach uses the Geographical Information Systems and takes advantage of its capabilities, considering the 3D spatial representation and optical juxtaposition of the archaeological information. The excavation at the prehistoric site of Paliambela Kolindros and the research methodology followed in the specific programme is presented as the case study of this work.
