At dawn on Monday the 26th of January 2009, bulldozers and lorries of the Municipality of Athens entered in the space of the park at the junction of Patision and Cyprus street and the crew cut 45 age-long trees.

The publications report says that the decision was taken during the weekend and thus the residents were not given the possibility to object on this act to a secondary body. We remind that the Municipality plans the manufacture of an underground parking space. Another action by the mayor Mr N. Kaklamani in favour of the green spaces of this city.
