Sustainable mobility and particularly cycling encounter difficulties in the City of Athens. Although many Athenians would like to be mobile by cycling, the lack of cycling paths and safe bicycle parking keeps the cyclist percentage in the city low. Ministries responsible for mobility have at times announced the support of the bike use, none of them has reached implementation yet. In a local level the Municipality of Athens seems this year willing to actually support cycling
