In Volos, from the 1980’s, the local authorities, with continuous activities, rescued and developed by new uses, the greatest part of the industrial history of the city. 25 industrial monuments were renovated and are now parts of the economic, social and cultural life of the city. Schools, universities, cultural centres, spaces of multiple uses, offices, etc., serve the urban web.
